Anarchy Artist Series
Anarchy’s heritage has always included supporting individuals. This summer, Anarchy is releasing their first ever limited edition artist series of sunglasses. Four distinct styles of art blend with four of the latest styles of eyewear to create wearable limited edition collectables. Each participant in the artist series was chosen because of their influence and involvement in the action sports and the cultures surrounding it. Hydro74, Brian Ewing, Julie West and Stelekon have created their own concepts of Anarchy. Beginning in April we’ll be releasing info on each artist’s signature sunglass, for which 300 limited edition pieces were created.
Brian Ewing x Iniquity
If colorful darkness wasn’t such an oxymoron, then it could be used to describe Brian Ewing’s art. His illustrations have appeared everywhere from New Yorker articles written by Malcolm Gladwell to pro-model skate decks to gig posters for such notables as Dinosaur Jr., Slash and Flogging Molly. More info on Brian can be found here: http://www.brianewing.com
Hydro74 x Status
Based in Orlando, Hydro74 (aka Joshua M. Smith) likes to create his own brand of digital chaos. Over the past few years, he has contributed graphics to a variety of established companies in and out of action sports, including DK Bicycles, Burton Snowboards, Burton, Lucas Films, Levi’s and Supra. You can check out more of his work here: http://www.hydro74.com/
Stelekon x Indie
With personal and professional roots in Southern California, Stelekon’s pop-art influence merges modern imagery with his own highly graphic aesthetic. Adding color and design to the mundane, Stelekon’s subjects are ironic snap shots of the world we live in. More on him can be found here: http://www.stelekon.blogspot.com/.
Julie West x Mod
A graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Julie has collaborated with a diverse range of brands that includes Kid Robot, Nike, Static bikes and Jansport. Often quirky, bizarre, or ironic, Julie looks heavily at the way people live and define themselves, as well as the environments which they create for themselves.
